Now, I know I've said this before, but I really think I'm onto something! For real this time! IMG_1369

My sweet husband called dibs on the first one, and put up a good fight for the second, but for now it's hanging in our dining room. (The picture above was taken right before I broke one of these lamps trying to straighten out the un-straighten-out-able shades)

So now I can't stop thinking about doing more of these! I already have three more in the underpainting stages.

I don't know if it's because I'm now in the Braitman Studio a couple of days a week working on non-abstracts, but these just poured out of me. It's like I get back to my own studio and my creativity can't wait to have free rein. Maybe it was something that Andy said about not analyzing every mark, just trusting in your own skill.  Maybe it was the creative genius that decided to grace me with it's presence. Have you seen that Ted Talk? Grab some tissues. Or, maybe it was this groovy soundtrack I had playing in the background.

Whatever it was... I hope it's here to stay!

What do you do to keep the flow going?

What did you think of Elizabeth Gilbert's Ted Talk?

Do you like this new direction or did you like something before more?
