Denver, Colorado - The Crawford Hotel Review

The Crawford Hotel in Denver, Colorado, is in the iconic Union Station train station which has been redone and converted into restaurants, boutiques, a hotel, and yes, a train station.

Staying at the Crawford Hotel can be summed up like this: Every time I went to Google a place to eat, or shop, or something to do that was nearby in LoDo, Google Maps would shoot me back the name of a place that was reviewed by locals and travelers to be the best that was INSIDE of Union Station. We only ventured outside for a quick trip to Larimer Square. And even that was super easy- the Crawford has a complimentary Tesla that will take you around town within a few mile radius. The iconic building itself is incredible, especially if you're a train station lover like me. (I think I love them so much because of this tango video)

The rooms: We were in a two bed loft room. Nestled above all the action, it's surprisingly quiet and cozy. The bed was great and the bathtub was a giant amazing clawfoot. Very clean and spacious.

The restaurants: There is a long list of places to eat and drink! The Milkbox Ice Creamery, The Terminal Bar, The Cooper Lounge, Stoic & Genuine, Mercantile, The Kitchen Next Door, Acme Burger & Brat, Pigtrain Coffee Co,  Fresh Exchange, and Snooze are all right in the building. And yummy. I didn't have time to try them all, but can vouch for the deliciousness at Snooze, Mercantile, the Terminal Bar, and Pigtrain Coffee.

The shopping: My bags came back a little bit heavier thanks to 5 Green Boxes, The Tattered Cover Book Store, and Bloom.

The service: It was fantastic. When we first got to check in, there was a problem with the way that our room was booked and we were set up for a single bed room instead of the double bed loft. Somehow they moved things around and got us to the double room we were set up for. The next morning, they pointed us to Larimer Square, which is adorable, set us up with the Tesla, and made everything really easy. Super friendly and accommodating.

The view: Well, I guess you can't have it all! I was hoping for a sweeping view of the Rockies, but I just got the actual train station that is outside. Actually, the whole entire time I was there I never saw even a single mountain because it was so snowy and cloudy!
